Just turn another page

Happy Sunday & thank you for opening this week’s newsletter! Can you believe it’s already June?? It feels like just yesterday I was writing about New Year’s resolutions and gearing up to run my first marathon.

Maybe it’s because I decided that May was the month I was going to celebrate the start of my own personal new year again, or maybe it’s because despite how challenging things may seem in the moment, time is passing anyways, but man, this year is FLYING.

As we near the halfway point of 2024, there are a few anniversaries that I'm celebrating:

1. Well, I just celebrated 1 year since I graduated college (wtf, already?) 🎓

2. I’m about to come up on 1 year since starting my full-time job (my one year work anniversary) 🧑‍💻

3. My tortoises are about to turn 1 year old (they’re still babies) 😂🐢

So as I sit to write this newsletter, the recurring theme for me here is that it’s been a year since I left school and started living as an adult in the real world.

One year has flown by, and it’s got me thinking about how I’ve been taking this year day by day and week by week to get through all the changes that have come with being out of school.
